Reuben Smith
Reuben Smith, the President and Company Originator of Century Design Build Ltd. My
journey in the construction industry began after graduating from Fanshawe College's
Architectural Technology program. I embarked on this professional path by accepting a
position in the structural division at MTE. This initial step in my career eventually led me
to FGC Limited, where I assumed the role of Head Draftsman.
However, it was a pivotal moment in 2019 when my wife and I completed our very first
new build – a semi in Seaforth. It was during this project that all the knowledge I had
acquired in the field of construction truly flourished. This transformative experience
ignited a passion within me to explore and contribute to the world of construction in a
more significant way.
This newfound passion led me to a site supervisor position with Larry Otten Contracting.
Working alongside Larry, I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the importance of
quality and an acute eye for detail in the construction process. Larry's mentorship and
unwavering support for my wife and I were instrumental in shaping my growth as a
builder.
Inspired by this journey and fueled by our shared dream, my wife and I took the bold
step to establish Century Design Build Ltd. Est. 2020. Our company was born out of a
shared commitment to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship in every project
we undertake. Today, we continue to uphold these values as we work tirelessly to bring

I currently reside in Seaforth, Ontario with my wife Katie, daughters Kylee 6, Hailey 4,
and son Calvin 2. I love hockey and am the head coach of my daughters hockey teams
this season, as well as Director of hockey ops with the Huron Heat girls executive. I am
currently the captain for the Seaforth Centenaires in Senior hockey as well.
Sloan
Sloan Myers is the Site Supervisor at Century Design Build Ltd. His construction journey
commenced in his early years, assisting his self-employed mother, Barb Myers, who
specialized in various renovation projects. Sloan's passion for the trade led him to
pursue a cooperative education program in carpentry during high school.
Upon graduating, he dedicated a summer to Feltz Design Build before embarking on a
journey as a framer, commencing an apprenticeship in carpentry. Over the course of
four years, Sloan honed his skills while framing for Contract Framing Group. He was
also an integral part of a framing crew startup for Pinnacle Quality Homes.
In 2018, Sloan achieved a significant milestone by graduating from Conestoga College
and obtaining his Certificate of Qualification as a Licensed Carpenter. The spring of the
same year marked a turning point in his career as he seized the opportunity to work as
a Site Supervisor alongside Paul Bender at MTH Contracting and Consulting. This
experience was instrumental in Sloan's professional growth and development as a
Carpenter.
In early 2022, Sloan joined forces with Reuben Smith to expand Century Design Build
Ltd. pooling their diverse skill sets to deliver exceptional results and satisfy their valued
customers.
